Nothing Yet!
Well here it is another month later and I still haven't found a job. Come on KC Transportation! I have waited long enough and am getting very angry that I haven't heard from you. I'm ready to go there and go "postal" on a certain someone. Looking at maybe trying a different market for my skills since being so experienced it makes me higher paid than "newbies". Nobody wants to pay for experience anymore. It seems that most trucking companies are not hiring anyone from Michigan anymore. What gives? Is this "regional profiling"? Things had better get better quick...I have bills to pay and mouths to feed! Hopefully you and yours are doing well in this environment. Be grateful for what you have and thankful.

Down we go & up we go
Well the Canadian dollar, or loonie as they call it, is now almost at par with the US dollar. It won't be long before it is worth more than our money since they seem to be coming out of the recession sooner than we seem to be. The unemployment rate for my hometown is now 15.3%, which is not very encouraging. I am unlucky enough to be one of those that are unemployed but I have a line on a job but am 3rd on the list. I was 6th about a month ago so I'm optimistic about my chances. Shame on all you employers that do not respond to job seekers! Is it that hard to acknowledge the people that are trying to get hired by your company? I'm looking at some other companies and plan on sending them a resume soon. Unless I hit the Mega Millions jackpot this week. It's 200 million or rather 102.8 cash option. Then it would be hard to decide what I'd be doing with Kathy. Working or retiring. Staying here or going somewhere else. Just have to cross that bridge if we come to it. Lets hope that the good news starts flowing some time before the end of the year. Keep your chin up and smile. Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff.

Good News Anyone?.....
Another Year and a new President later.....
Anything changed? Economy still in the toilet? Jobs disappearing faster than George Bush after Obama's oath of office? People losing their homes, jobs, medical care, and sense of humor still the norm? Enough Already! It's starting to look like Lord of the Flies out here. Can't we all just get a break? Come on Congress. Billions to your corrupt bank and finance buddies isn't working. Try a check for say maybe $100,000 to each and every American that is over 18 years of age. That is what would stimulate the economy and get this country back on track. Not this crap of government intervention into more and more of our lives. WE DON'T NEED YOU! Less government would be more prudent during these hard economic times not the hiring blitz that you seem to think. Term Limits need to be put in place on all elected officials. Time to put these old windbags out to pasture. Maybe they can get a job at Wal-Mart as a greeter. We need young minds that are not corrupted by the political machine. A grass roots movement needs to happen all across this great nation. Less Government not more. Smaller government less taxes. That would be nice right? The only way to get there is to get these old bums out!

I think that this sums up what we all suspect. Merry Christmas everyone! May the new year bring us more stuff to rant about.(I'm sure it will)Sorry, I just can't keep up with all the schemes and treasonous acts that are going on. So many things just not enough time to explain it to you in a way that you will be able to understand. Back to filing the ACLU complaint, so everyone stand under the mistletoe. A little smooching is what we all could use right now. These days kisses are a bargain, they're FREE. No bailout money needed.

Now the FEDS start to listen to my idea
Lately Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has changed his tune and now wants to do more to stop foreclosures. He suggests that the government make bulk purchases of mortgages that have become delinquent and refinance them through a program called "Hope for Homeowners". He also suggests that a loan modification program would make monthly mortgage payments more affordable. Lower the interest rate to 3% for five years. He also suggests that borrowers would pay no more than 31% of their pretax income, instead of the current 38%. This sounds like what I said when they were discussing the Bailout Plan. I said to take the $750 billion and use it to refinance the distressed mortgages to a payment the people could afford. It would have kept the housing market on a little firmer ground. Obviously, what he did isn't working. Unless you count the number of credit card offers you get now as working. DON'T LISTEN TO ME. I'M NOT A BANKING WHIZ THAT YOU ARE. IT JUST SEEMED TO MAKE PERFECT SENSE TO ME WHEN I POSTED THAT IDEA. INVESTMENT FIRMS ARE BORROWING MORE WHILE BANKS ARE BORROWING LESS. Hmmm, I THINK THAT SOME GREAT INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES ARE COMING UP. Start doing some stock market research, the time to invest in stocks is coming. Profits will be made. Venture capitalists see hope in young companies. They predict that new products and companies in clean technology, medical devices, wireless technology and other sectors will usher in a new economic era. Remember me saying "invest in technology, medicine, entertainment, and energy with electricity being most important" a while back? Maybe you should go back and read some of my old posts. You just might learn something. Hey Bernanke! If you are going to steal my ideas, could you at least give me a little credit? Just throw out "Hey Kidworks, thanks for the idea!" at one of your press conferences. It would cause the press corps to be dumbfounded and they just might have to do some actual investigative work. It would be fun. Might just be a bit of cheer that we all could use at this time of year since your last idea was such a winner.
Merry Christmas?
With the economy in the toilet and the future so uncertain, can we still have a Merry Christmas? Charities are facing fewer donations but more requests for help. Jobs are disappearing faster than McCain after his election loss. Where does it end? Is a Merry Christmas still possible? Someone please tell me that it is.......
